You Got Learned

Christmas was introduced into Japan in the 1950s during American’s post-war occupation. While Christianity didn’t catch on, Christmas became exceedingly popular and is still celebrated to this day in the country. With only a small percentage practicing Christianity Japanese people celebrate Christmas in a different way. Today in Japan gifts are exchanged between loved ones like in the East but the most common gift exchanged is cake. Not fruit cake (lucky) but light sponge cake. These cakes are marketed toward boyfriends and husbands in the same why diamonds are marketed to guys in the East to flatter their loved one. These cakes are greatly over marketed and prices are cut after the 25th. “This practice lead to the will-know, but very out-of-date joke that single women over 25 are “Christmas Cakes” – few men are interested once they pass the 25.” (Kemps)

God People are Stupid

Why do people wear sunglasses indoors, they are called sunglasses not lightbulb glasses. I can understand running into a gas station or c-store but if you are indoors for more then five minutes why keep them on. There is a guy in my computer classes that does this, he wears sunglasses for the entire four hour class. even if the teacher turns off the lights to go through slides for three hours. There he is, in the corner of the room with his sunglasses. Then when the teacher turns the light back on and we are blinded for three seconds. He declares "This is why I always wear sunglasses." Why? So you aren't blinded for three seconds, I doubt something will happen in those few seconds where you need to see. Stupid people piss my off.

Not Good

So I took a final the other day which involved building a server and then installing Exchange (email) server. This included downloading and installing all updates. This test took all four hours of class. During the down time when the computer was busy and no input was needed my mind would wonder. During those four hours I came up with several good ideas for blog posts which I wrote down on a scrap piece of paper. When I was unlocking my door when I got home I dropped my notebook in a snow bank. Two bads, one my notebook got soaked, two I lost the piece of paper with my ideas. That's what I get for getting 100% on the test.

Stupid Holidays

So I have been busy with work and I have finials this week in school. That is why I haven't posted in a while. I can't wait for Christmas because I am on vacation after that.

Top Five

Top five things I am into for November
1. My new trailer home.
Wonderful, wonderful heat through out the whole house. Still no skirting but that should be on soon. My sis has pics on her blog here.
2.TheBestPageInTheUniverse.net
A classmate introduced me this web page. If you don't have time to read it all, at least read the one about the iPhone.
3.Hacked PSP
I finally hacked my PSP. So many games to download, so little time to play.
4.Fallout 3
I didn't play the first two but number 3 is pretty fun. You have to find your father in a postapolyptic future in Washington DC.
5.Adobe Photoshop
I have been messing around with Photoshop CS3. Can't do anything special yet but it is fun to play with. Thinking of playing around with adobe flash sometime soon.

Superpowers

So I watched Superman: Doomsday on Cartoon Network before I went to bed last night. When I was lying in bed I started thinking about superpowers. When you ask most people what superpower they would have if they could have one they would say either flying or to be invisible. Heck, just a couple days ago I would have answered by saying one of the two. But as I was lying there I realized that I had to be different from everyone else. So what is different and possibly better then flying or invisibility. Telekinesis! With telekinesis you can pick up and move objects, even yourself. That means you can fly. But lets put some limitations on this power, lets say you can only lift so much weight. How about three medium size cars. Now how much sand equals that weight. Now lets say you can move each grain of sand independently of the other grains. What this means is that you can make objects with a pile of sand, a wall or a giant fist for example. I have no ending statement for this so I will finish by posting this link. Learning how to do telekinesis.

Top Five

Top five things I am into for October
1. Purchasing a Mobile home.
Trading in my old mobile home for a brand new one. Staying in same town and trailer park
2. Saturday mourning cartoons.
Work had finally giving me weekends off and now I get to watch mourning cartoons like when I was a kid. Most of them suck but Strawberry Shortcake is back on the air and it rocks. Also Making Fiends is a new show on Nicktoons. Learn more about it here.
3. School
Started a new quarter @ Rasmussen this month. God I can't wait for it to be over.
4. Halloween
The costumes, sexy cat, skimpy maid, sexy witch, and of course slutty high schooler. Oh and the candy.
5. Manga
"My Mysterious Girlfriend X". Really weird manga about a crazy new girl at a high school that starts dating a normal (horny) guy and comedy ensues .

Random Thought

I can move mountains with my mind, but I don't because map makers would not be happy.
